Irene Marie Boechler was born February 2, 1927 in Bataush, Saskatchewan and passed away on October 9, 2012 in Grand Forks, British Columbia. A Mom who always put her family first, Irene’s loving, loyal spirit was evident to all who knew her. Irene and Ted married on August 3, 1946 and subsequently moved to Trail in 1947 where she raised her beloved four sons. She worked hard all her life, loved to dance, and lit up the hearts of her 14 grandchildren.
Irene is survived by her four sons Randy, Lynn, Barry and Kevin, and is predeceased by her husband Ted (Feb 2011). She is also survived by her brothers Garnet, Max, Carl and Russell, her sister Jean, and 14 grandchildren.
A viewing will be held at Carberry’s Chapel, 1298 Pine Avenue, Trail, BC on Friday, October 19, 2012 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 315 Railway Lane, Trail, BC on Saturday, October 20 at 11 a.m., Father Jim McHugh, Celebrant. Jordan Wren of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Christina Lake Manor wing of Hardy View Lodge. The special care and treatment showed to our mother is deeply appreciated.
