On Sunday, November 18, 2018 we lost a great father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Mr. Jack Karl Louis Ihas passed suddenly and unexpectedly but peacefully in his home.
Jack was predeceased by his wife Harriette, his daughter Alain, his mother and father Gina and John and his brother Jerry. He is survived by his daughter Linda (Jay), his sons Steven (Tina), and Jack, grandchildren Brandi (Trevor), Michel, Jesse, Dominic, Victoria, Josh (Jamie), John, great-grandchildren; Noah, Hayden, Josie and Ashton, his brother Jim (Gail) and many nieces and nephews.
Jack always kept busy in the community, enjoying local sports, was a member of the Senior Smoke Eater Executive, and curling. He was also a member of the Dewdney Rock and Gem Club in the 1970's and was very well known for his attendance in the local craft fairs as well as his knowledge of the rocks, gems, minerals and crystals. Jack was also an avid gardener.
There will be a gathering of family and close friends at a later date to celebrate his life. Gwen Ziprick of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services has been entrusted with arrangements.
