Keneth Kushner passed away peacefully June 4, 2019 at the age of 77 in Revelstoke, BC. Ken was born in Vernon in 1942, grew up close by in Oyama on the family orchard. He moved to Trail and worked on the CPR Railroad for 42 years starting out in the Cominco CPR Yard, and ending in 2008 as a Conductor on the main line in Revelstoke. His lifelong passion was flying and he was involved for many years first with the Trail Flying Club and continuing in the Revelstoke Flying Club, along with involvement with CASARA Air Search and Rescue, as well as being an avid model airplane hobbyist.
Ken leaves his three children; Heather (Darren) Macnab of Victoria, Kim (Jim) Rienks of Revelstoke, Kenny Kushner of Kelowna, his four grandchildren; Konnor, Eric, Milena and Brendon. Ken is also survived by his brother Ray, sisters Kristine and Cherry, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Blessedly released from the pain, he joins his parents Stella and Frank, and brothers Chris and Gordon. He is now flying high and free, and the weather is fair.
