December 15, 1941 - November 16, 2023

In loving memory ~

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our Dad, Larry Pagnan. Larry was born December 15th, 1941, and peacefully passed away on November 16th, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.

Alongside his father "Spuds" Pagnan, Larry owned and operated Lauriente's Clothing until its closing in 1996.

Larry had a love of collecting, in particular Trail memorabilia. He could often be found scouring local garage sales, thrift stores and antique stores for anything Trail related. He amassed a wonderful collection of Trail history, much of which has been donated to the Trail Museum.

Dad was an entertainer at heart, always ready with a joke or a story from his days at the store or playing poker. One of his favourite things to do was showing the grandkids his creature from the black lagoon. He also loved a good brandy and could be heard singing old Italian songs when the mood struck.

Dad cherished his time with his gym buddies at the aquatic centre. They meant the world to him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Judy; his children Sandy (Norm) Young, Christine (Brian) Plamondon, and Carla (Boyd) Watson; his grandchildren Matthew, Melissa, Brittany (Matt), Brandon, Adam (Kayla), Aaron (Phoebe), Paige; and great-grandchildren Myles and Liam; sister Katherine Desrosiers; and many extended family.

Special thanks to the nurses and doctors of the KBRH Oncology Department, Community Nurses, and the 3rd floor medical staff.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Bill Clark of Clark's Funeral Services has been entrusted with arrangements.

As an expression of sympathy, the family welcomes donations to the KBRH Health Foundation (Oncology Department) at 1200 Hospital Bench, Trail, BC V1R 4M1 or the Kootenay Robusters Dragon Boat Society at Kootenay Robusters c/o Team Treasurer, #36 - 2210 Columbia Ave. Castlegar, BC V1N 2X1.

In the words of our father, "Do you smell popcorn?"
