Born May 20, 1942 in Trail, British Columbia and deceased on May 24, 2018 in Medicine Hat, AB at the the age of 76.
It is with heavy hearts that our family announces the passing of our husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and great grandfather Lorne Bertram Sutherland.
Lorne is lovingly remembered by his wife Rosemary, his daughters Ruth, Rebekah and Rachel and his son Hugh. He leaves behind his siblings Bonnie Gering and Daryl Sutherland as well as many relatives and dear friends. He was predeceased by his parents Hugh and Margaret Sutherland and sister Louise.
Lorne had a passion for all things family and could always be counted on to plan a good meal surrounded by those he cherished. He was most certainly never at a loss for words when it came to sports and his favourite teams, the Vancouver Canucks, Toronto Blue Jays or the BC Lions.
His family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital and the Carmel Hospice, St. Joseph's Home for their care and support. They would also like to thank all the relatives and close friends who stood by them in their time of need, they are forever grateful and love you.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring 2019 in Trail, BC. Once the date and time are determined, the family will post the information for those who wish to attend.
