LAPLANTE: Louis, long-time resident of Rossland passed away suddenly with his family at his bedside on February 29, 2012 at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital. He was born on July 14, 1944 in Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan.
Louis was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.
He retired from Cominco in 2001 after 35 years of employment.
Louis is survived by his sons; Reg and Shane, his daughter Dorothy (James) and granddaughters Rachael and Aundrea.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at the Rossland Royal Canadian Legion Hall #14 at 2081 Washington Street, Rossland at 1:00 pm.
