It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Louie (Dad) on July 16, 2022. Dad passed away peacefully with his family by his side.
Luigi (Louie) was born in Segromignio in Piano, Lucca, Italy.
Dad will be forever remembered by his children Janice (Ron), David (Kim), his grandchildren Jessi (Jordan) and Jeremy, and his great-grandchildren Jayci and Carson.
Louie was predeceased by his wife and best friend, Denise (63 years of marriage), daughter Geraldine, and son Victor.
Louie worked for Cominco (Teck) for 40 years.
Louie loved his family more than words can express, he enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, carpentry, knife making, making wine and was always busy taking care of his family.
Dad also enjoyed being a Cub Scout and Scout Leader in Trail as well as serving as District Commissioner for many years.
Louie was a lifelong member of the Colombo Lodge.
The family would like to thank Dr. Phillips, Dr. Yo and Dr. Hurdle very much for their care, kindness and attention.
Also, thank you to the Staff at Rosewood Village who took care of Dad (Luigi) showing patience and compassion towards Dad and his Family.
A private Mass of Christian Burial, officiated by Father Francis dela Cruz, was held with the immediate family. Words cannot express how thankful we are to Father Francis dela Cruz, Antonia Driutti, and Angela Chioccarello for a truly beautiful service.
Al Grywacheski, Kole Roth, Tracy Wicentowich and the Staff of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ were entrusted with arrangements and provided the utmost in personal and professional guidance.
