Manfred passed away at his home in Trail on October 27, 2014. He came to Canada in 1954 and worked as a watchmaker for Lauener Bros. Jewellers in Trail, until his retirement. He loved Canada and especially the Kootenays, he became a Canadian citizen on April 26, 1966.
Manfred will be mourned by his cousin Johanna Schwencke of New York, his nephews, nieces and cousins in Germany and his many friends in Canada and Germany.
An informal gathering of his friends will be held in the lounge of the Trail United Church on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 3:00 pm
