Mary Connell (nee Anselmo)
November 27, 1926 - October 19, 2017
Was born on November 27, 1926 in Vancouver and passed away peacefully with family by her side on October 19, 2017 in Trail, BC.
She is predeceased by her parents, Sam and Rose Anselmo, her sister Angie (Laurie) Regnier and her brother Sammy (Anne) Anselmo.
Mary is survived by her husband of 63 years, Leonard and her children; Gail (Morley), Alan (Cindy), Colleen and David; her 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
After family, music was Mary's greatest love- once attending the Toronto Conservatory until homesickness drew her back to Trail. She found her voice in St. Rita's Catholic Parish in Fruitvale, singing in the choir and also performing solos for many weddings and masses. She was also a proud member of the Catholic Women's League.
Mary loved her home and you could count on her having a fresh pot of coffee on and perhaps some fresh baked cookies. She enjoyed bowling, making ceramics, canning and tending to the flowers in her yard.
