It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Matt Hopkins on March 12, 2020. Matt was born in Glasgow, Scotland and moved to Trail, BC in 1978.
He is survived by his wife Jean, daughter Jacqueline Charrois (Michael), sons Matt (Tammy) and John as well as grandchildren Matthew (Brianna), Shannon (Adam), Stephen and Michael also great-grandchildren Marek, Luke and Jack, sister Margaret McCarthy, sister in-law Josie Hopkins and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Matt, mother Margaret, brother Jack Hopkins and sister Josie Mallinson.
Matt's family would like to thank Dr Knox and all the staff at Poplar Ridge for the care and kindness shown him since his arrival on 31st December 2019.
No service by request. A backyard family celebration will be held on Saturday 4th July.
