MacArthur, Maurice (Moe) Colin – Moe passed away peacefully on June 13, 2011 at the Penticton Regional Hospital with his loving wife, Florence (Flo) and their family at his side. Moe would have been 80 years old on July 3 of this year. At the age of 79 years Moe is survived by his wife Flo, his brother Colin (Leslie),three sisters in England, Heather, Laya and Kathleen, their sons Dean (Deborah) and their two grandchildren Kristin and Clarke (Jess), Ken (Jen) and their two grandchildren Jordan and Jake, their daughters Sandi (Joey) and Deanna (Rob) and other relatives. Moe and Flo, as they were known to family, friends and the community at large, have been married for 45 years.

Moe grew up most of his life in the Trail/Nelson area although they lived in other locations depending on his work assignments with Cominco Ltd. (known at that time). Moe was very active in many pursuits such as coaching hockey and baseball in his earlier days. Moe was never short of energy as he loved many activities such as skiing, hiking and running. He was an avid gardener, a dedicated volunteer in every community they lived and belonged to the Rossland Lions Club for many years.

Moe had many active and healthy retirement years as he and Flo travelled extensively accumulating friends from every place they visited. Most of the summer months were spent in Penticton entertaining travelling friends and family members. Their home was always a great gathering place as they were “the hosts with the most” for anyone who visited them. During the fall and winter months they lived in Arizona where they met and developed life - long friendships while enjoying the warm sunny weather.

Although Moe has passed, the Moe and Flo team continues as we plan “A Celebration of Life” for Moe on July 30, 2011 from 2:00 - 4:00pm at the Sumac Ridge Estate Winery, 17403 Highway #97 North, Summerland, Penticton, B.C.
