With Great Sadness, Michael John Keffer passed away peacefully at the age of 80 in Trail, November 13, 2019. Born in Rossland, BC on May 4, 1939. He was predeceased by his parents Harold and Annie, sister Helma, and son Mark. He is survived by his wife Anne (56 years), daughter Melinda, daughter in law Mona, grandchildren Mackenzie, Mitchell, step-grandchildren, Tanya (Darren Williams) Renee (Jay Zanussi) and step-great grandchildren; Ryder, Cash, Jaden and Roman.
Dad went to UBC to become an Engineer and started his career in Hamilton, Ontario at Stelco, he then moved back to the area he grew up in to work at Teck Cominco until he retired. He had many interests, skiing, playing pool, building cars and sailboats, scuba diving, golfing and painting. He loved to travel and explore new places with his family and friends. He accumulated many lifelong friends along the way, some lasting 75 years some considerably shorter, but I know he cherished them all. Cremation by Alternative Funeral Services.
A Celebration of Life for family and friends will take place in the summer 2020 at Christina Lake, a place he loved so much. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in lieu of flowers.
