It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mona Marie Unti at the age of 87. Mona passed away peacefully at home on March 27, 2020.
Mona was born in Wawota, Saskatchewan; she was the middle child of six and was the last surviving child of Lillian and Lorne Smith. Mona was a loving Wife, Nonna, Mother, Auntie/Zia and a great friend to many in our community. Mona moved to the Trail area in 1954 where she met the love of her life Oreste Unti. They married, began a family and shared many great adventures together for over 65 years.
She is survived by her devoted husband Oreste, a son Steven (Christine), daughter Carol (Lee) and 3 grandchildren Erin, Allison & Jillian all who were very dear to her.
Mona you made the world a better place, may you rest in peace in God's hands.
