It is with sadness we announce the passing of Olive (Baba) Byres at 90 years of age on July 3, 2018.
Olive lived in Genelle in her little yellow house for 64 years.
She is survived by her son Wayne (Gaye) and daughter Kathy (David) Thatchuck. Grandchildren Trinda (Chris) Bowman, Kurtis (Glory) Byres and Greg (Tami) Byres. Baba also had 6 great- grandchildren. Jaxin and Tia Byres, Kelton and Griffin Byres, Delaney and Mitchell Bowman, and many other relatives and special friends throughout the area.
Olive was predeceased by her husband George and niece Betty Berquist.
The family would like to thank Dr. Vasil of Castlegar, the doctors in E.R., and the third floor nurses for their compassionate care.
A Memorial will be held at the Beaver Valley Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Montrose, Monday July 16, 2018 at 3:00 pm, followed by a reception.
