May 14, 1936 - August 18, 2023
In loving memory ~
Bob was born on May 14, 1936, in Trail, B.C., and passed away on August 18, 2023.
Bob is survived by his wife of 62 years, Audrey, and his children Jennifer (Kurt), Michael (Carolyn) and Brian (Jeannine). His grandchildren September, Bailey, Sage, Kieran, Brianne and Lucca - the apples of his eye. Bob is also survived by his sister Ursula (Eddie) and brother Bill (Anne); he was predeceased by his sister Jean (Bob) and his parents Rosie and Ralph (long-time residents of Warfield).
Proud of his Italian heritage and known for his quick wit as well as his propensity for practical jokes, Bob was an 87-year resident of Warfield and worked as a Principal in School Districts 11 and 20 for close to 38 years. His broad knowledge, and love of learning and understanding of how things work, made him the original "Google" for grandchildren, nieces, nephews, as well as neighbourhood kids. Bob's love of fishing, poker, vegetable gardening, especially tomatoes and his father's beans, and concrete will not be forgotten - he could hear a cement truck a mile away. Nor will his commemorative rock wall at his summer cabin in honour of Italy winning the 1982 World Cup. He could often be seen coming around the corner on his riding lawn mower at the lake.
Special thanks to all the Home Care Staff in Trail and Nelson, and the nursing staff and others from the second and third floor of Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital. As an expression of sympathy and thanks, your donations made in Bob's memory to KBRH Health Foundation https://www.kbrhhealthfoundation.ca/ would be greatly appreciated.
