We are sad to share that Percy Andrews passed away on December 19, 2020 at the age of 78.
Percy was born April 29, 1944 in Trail, B.C. where he grew up. He worked at Cominco and started his family here.
Percy worked as a steel fabricator and as a heavy duty mechanic. He worked in many different mines and found a home in the Yukon.
He was a union activist while working for the Yukon government. He retired and spent time at his home in Marsh Lake.
Percy enjoyed boating, snowmobiling, target shooting and furniture building. He was always happy to welcome friends and family who visited the Yukon.
He is survived by his children Danny Andrews, Sandra (Terrance) Sparkes, David (Sabrine) Andrews, Derek (Marisa) Andrews, Victor Smith and Kerry (Monique) Smith. His grandchildren Damien, Daniel, Quentin, Trinity Andrews, Nicole, Lisa Marie, and James Lapointe, Olivia and Charlotte Andrews, Graycen, Tarron, and Payton Smith and great grandchildren Macy, Cooper and Lily, James, Jacob and Hunter.
He is survived by his brothers Terry (Barb) Andrews and Mark (Gale) Andrews and sisters Sharon (Vern) Magee and Gwen Hubscher, nephew Dustin Magee and niece Christine Andrews.
Percy is preceded in death by dad Garnet Andrews and mom Helen Andrews and joins long time companion JoAnne Smith, Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Percy's life will take place at a later date.
