Heney: Ruby of Rossland passed away peacefully at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital on September 7, 2010. She was born in Loon Lake, SK on April 16, 1932.
Ruby is survived by her children Milly (Tom), Tony (Jane), and Cindy; grandchildren Becky, Slade, Chris, Sean and Adam; and great grandchildren Shanice, Brooke, Braden, and Nicole; and sister Ella; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Gordie and son-in-law Jim Bateman.
Ruby loved oil painting, video games and best of all, being with her family. She enjoyed drinking her beer and playing her guitar in front of the campfire.
A graveside service will be held at Mountain View Cemetery in Rossland on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Al Grywacheski of Personal Alternative Funeral Services “Carberry’s Chapel” is entrusted with arrangements.
