It is with tearful eyes and broken hearts, we share the passing of Ruth on February 23, 2020 at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital with family by her side. She was born August 11, 1940 in Hamilton, Ontario to Hugh and Jean Stallard.
After graduating from nursing in 1961, Ruth came to Trail to start her career at the Trail Regional Hospital and then in her later years, she worked at Medical Associates Clinic. Ruth was very involved with ALS, CWL, Italo Canadese and Colombo Lodge. She was also a member of Harmony and the Holy Trinity Choirs for many years. She lived life to the fullest, enjoying travelling, family and especially her great-grandson Sorin.
Ruth was predeceased by her son Sandro, brother David and her parents. She will be dearly missed by her loving husband Joe of 58 years, son Michael, grandchildren Analisa (Jake) and Jonathan (Lindsey), sister Susan (Dan) Stallard-Labrie, stepmother Doreen, sisters-in-law Rosetta (Joe) Bossio and Toni Driutti, brother-in law Giacomo (Linda) Guercio and several nephews and nieces.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 10:30 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish with Father Francis dela Cruz, Celebrant. Al Grywacheski of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation ServicesTM has been entrusted with arrangements.
