In loving memory of Una Audrey Beamish, age 83, who passed away peacefully in Trail, British Columbia on April 10th, 2020.
Una was born in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan in 1937 to parents Agnes and John. She grew up surrounded by love and the laughter of her brothers, Martin, Otto, Eldon and Gerald and her sister, Judy.
Una moved to Star City, Saskatchewan in her young adult life and married James E Beamish. She was a loving and devoted mother to six sons; Denis, David, Perry (Katja), James (Dianne), Murray (Jodi), Ken and one daughter, Judy. Una was a very proud gramma to 19 adoring grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She is also fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.
The family eventually moved to Trail where Una developed deep friendships and after years of living in Vancouver, she returned to retire in Trail. Our mother had a strong faith in Our Lord and Savior and was a living example of his love and grace. Una had a passion for music which she shared; teaching piano and playing for church congregations over many years. Una was highly skilled with a pair of knitting needles and kept us all warm and cozy in beautiful sweaters. She also had a flair in the kitchen and generously shared her cooking and baking much to the delight of us all. Una had a successful career in electrology with clients drawn to her personality and wisdom as much as her gentle touch.
A great and talented woman, Una will be dearly missed, and in our hearts forever.
