It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and Nonno, after a lengthy illness. He was born on January 5, 1932 in Decollatura, Province Catanzaro Italy; and passed away at Columbia View Lodge on May 15, 2011. After retiring from CP Rail in 1986, he spent many pleasant hours tending to his garden, wine-making, and enjoying the company of his grandchildren. He also was a member of the Colombo Lodge. Vincenzo was a hard-working, devoted family man.
Vincenzo will be greatly missed by his wife of 56 years, Isabella, and his children Frank (Rita), Rachela (Nigel) Chivers, and his adoring grandchildren Dina, Nicolas, Patrick, Corbin and Jayleen. His will also be missed by his sisters Teresa and Angelina in Italy, sister-in-law Kathleen, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Francesco, mother Rachela, brother Saverio, sister Maria, his infant brother Saverio and infant son Francesco.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church on Friday, May 20, 2011 at 1:00 pm by Father Matthieu Gombo OFM. Bill Clark of Personal Alternative Funeral Services has been entrusted with arrangements. Entombment will take place at the Trail Mausoleum. “We love you Nonno.”
