Wayne Harder, born October 12, 1935 in Eston, Sask., died peacefully at his home in Passmore with his family at his side on Feb. 7, 2011 after a long battle with Myelodysplastic Syndrome.

Wayne came to Trail, B.C. at the age of seven & lived his entire life in the area. Wayne excelled at any & all sports activities that he was involved in.

He married Susan Campbell in 1958 and they were married for 53 years.

In 1956 he started an apprenticeship in sign painting and opened his own shop in 1957. He was in the sign business for 40 years and was a well respected businessman. In his retirement he enjoyed woodcarving, curling, golfing and gardening.

He leaves to mourn his passing his beloved wife Sue, sons Chris (Valerie & Nathan) Steven (Pam & Ryan) & Wayne (Cathy, Brennan & Liam)

Reverend Liz Bowyer will preside a memorial service at Trail United Church on Friday February 11, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. Bill Clark of Personal Alternative Funeral Services is entrusted with the arrangements.
