CIVITARESE, Wilma Loye (nee Pratt) - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our much-loved mother and grandmother. On November 9, 2010, Wilma passed away peacefully, surrounded by family. She was born June 9, 1931 in Regina, SK.
Wilma is predeceased by her husband, Alfred Civitarese in 2003. She will be forever missed by her four children, Raymond (Daryl), Sharon, David (Sheron), and Rhonda (Stephen), and her many precious grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Wilma grew up in Regina and Calgary as the youngest of five children, and later moved to Fernie where she met and married her husband Alfred. Soon after, they moved to Trail where they spent many years raising four children.
Throughout her life, Wilma was admired for her unbridled generosity, and wonderful sense of humour. She had a strong penchant for cooking, and found a natural outlet for her talents through her work at both the JL Crowe High School, and Central School cafeterias. She put 100% effort into all that she did, whether it was tending her beautiful flower gardens, or cooking a family meal. One thing is for certain; everything Wilma did was for the benefit and comfort of others. We feel incredibly blessed to have had such a wonderful and caring mother.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Columbia View Lodge, whose care and support truly made a difference to our mother's time spent there.
At Wilma's request, there will be a graveside service for family. Bill Clark of Personal Alternative Funeral Services “Carberry’s Chapel” is entrusted with arrangements.
