Kudos to Trail’s bus drivers

I was reading in your paper last week about the person on the bus and about the bus driver not waiting until an older person got seated (Bus passengers need a chance to sit down, July 20).

I was reading in your paper last week about the person on the bus and about the bus driver not waiting until an older person got seated (Bus passengers need a chance to sit down, July 20).

First of all, I have been riding the transit buses in Trail for years ever since I arrived in Trail.

When my daughter was just beginning school the bus driver would pick her up and go the extra distance and drop my daughter at her school. They were so wonderful, they would come to where I was working and let me know she got safe and sound to school.

She rode the bus from West Trail to East Trail, Morrish school to the High School and they were very good to her.

Secondly, I have been riding the transit bus to Glenmerry every work day this past year and have had excellent service from all the drivers.

They are courteous, and helpful to everyone. They are friendly and go out of way to help all the senior citizens by stopping outside their house or just waiting for them when they are slow.

In the winter they take extra precaution. I know they are on a schedule, and they try and keep their schedule but if they are a bit late, we that take the bus don’t mind because we know they must have helped out a person with their bags or just getting to their stop.

I have been meaning to write this letter for some time and I just wanted to thank all the bus drivers in Trail, I applaud you for your safe, courteous and helpful way you get us to our destinations.
