Two weeks ago, I was on my way to a funeral at Mountain View Cemetery when I started having car problems just before getting there. I started pulling off the highway when an RCMP van saw my dilemma and pulled up behind with its lights on.
Not only did the officer drive me to the cemetery in time for the funeral, but he called for a tow truck for my car.
I was so appreciative of his efforts that I bought a gift certificate from a local restaurant and tried to give it to him but he said he couldn’t accept it.
I did, however, call the sergeant of the RCMP who told me he was pleased and surprised to hear the compliment and would put it in the officer’s personnel file.
I must commend this officer for his very professional and courteous manner in helping me get through this situation.
