The long gun registry is wasteful and ineffective. It needlessly and unfairly targets law abiding Canadians.
It’s time for a change.
Mr. Atamanenko has been doing what he wants to do for a long time, disregarding what his constituency wants.
Mr. Atamanenko wants to keep the long gun registry even if the long gun registry costs taxpayers $20 million every year.
The long gun registry does nothing to reduce crime. It does nothing to keep guns out of the hands of criminals.
Scrapping the long gun registry would free up money for programs that actually do save lives.
