Beaver Valley Rec - Young chefs get cooking

Tiny Tot Skating Lessons, Cooking with Mom and various other programs featured at BV Rec.

Tiny Tot Skating Lessons at the BV Arena are running through the month of November.  Two sessions to choose from: Monday and Wednesday from 1-1:30 p.m. or Tuesday and Thursday from 1:30-2 p.m.  Cost works out to be $4.75 per class.

Cooking without Mom is a fun two hour class for young aspiring chefs ages 9-14.  Learn to make fun dishes, learn the basics of safety and healthy habits in the kitchen as well as some handy, cool cooking tips.  Next session runs at the Montrose Hall kitchen from Nov. 14 to Dec. 12, 3:30-5:30 p.m. and the cost is $100 for five classes.  Instructed by certified chef Lee Ballantyne. Registration deadline is Tuesday by 9 a.m.

A few other programs running in the Beaver Valley include: Zumba - Monday at Fruitvale Hall from 9:50-10:50 a.m. and 7–8 p.m. and Thursday at Montrose Hall from 7–8 p.m., Zumba Gold – Wednesday at Montrose Hall from 9:50-10:50 a.m. and Thursday at Fruitvale Hall from 1:05-2:05 p.m., Zumbatomic-Monday at the Fruitvale Hall from 3-3:30 and 3:45-4:30 p.m., Chito-Ryu Karate–Mon-Wed from 6-7 p.m. and Saturdays from 10-11:30 a.m., Belly Fit – Tuesdays at the Montrose Hall from 6-7:30 p.m., Beginners to fitness Group Training – Tue-Thurs from 8:40-9:40 a.m., Yoga – Wednesday at the Montrose Hall from 7:15-8:30 a.m.
