The Arlington picked up their first point in Trail Commercial League action last week as Re/Max faltered but continued to lead the league.

The Big A tied Firebird, 3-3 Thursday while Re/Max skated to a 2-2 draw with second place Rex Hotel.

But Re/Max would bounce back taking a close 8-6 decision against the Arlington on Sunday. A wild first period saw Jake Vlanich open the scoring for the Arlington but Re/Max replied with three goals in the span of one minute.

Graham Proulx set up Gabe Gaudet for the first goal, then Gaudet would reciprocate 30 seconds later, and Dave Rugg would pop one a half minute after that.

The Arlington would reply with a goal from Nathan Ehman but Proulx notched his second and third of the night to put the realtors up by three. Matt Proulx scored before the end of the period to cut the lead to 5-3 going into the second.

Re/Max however would dominate the second adding three more to take an 8-4 lead into the final frame. Arlington scored two more to make it close but came up short in the end.

Graham Proulx finished with a four-point night on the strength of his hat trick and an assist while Matt Proulx pitched in two markers and an assist for the Arlington.

In the other Sunday game, OK Tire struck for four goals in the second period to down Rex Hotel 7-3.

On the strength of two goals by Joel Scheel and three point nights from Darrin Kissock (1G, 2A), Troy Palmer (1G, 2A), and Dennis Podovennikoff (1G, 2) the Tire dominated the Hotel. The Rex got two point nights from three players, Andrew Jenner, Tim Boucher and Rick Miller in the loss.
