Perfect pitch

Kiwanis Beaver Creek Park hosted its first soccer match since dedicated efforts of supporters began almost eight years ago.

Kiwanis Beaver Creek Park hosted its first soccer match since dedicated efforts of supporters, led by John Foglia, began almost eight years ago to reshape the rough field into a useable pitch. Foglia refereed the first game alongside Ron Joseph as Rossland footballers faced Creston in a mini three-team tournament on a sunny Saturday. Foglia hopes more groups use the now immaculate field, not only for soccer, but also concerts, group picnics, and other events.
