Trail Commercial Hockey League leaders keep rolling

Rex Hotel and Re/Max lead the way in the standings

First place Re/Max and the second-place Rex Red Army continue to roll in Trail Commercial Hockey League action.

In three games last week, Re/Max thumped the Arlington Hotel 9-3 Thursday and Rex did the same to OK Tire by the identical score. However, the Big A would bounce back and beat down the Tire 3-1 on Sunday.

Nathan Ehman put the Arlington on the board on a power play four minutes into the first, and would make it 2-0 after converting a pass from Matt Larmour and Eric Lathwaite.

Larmour and Mike Broyd then set up Darryl Zol on a second period power play to make it 3-0 before Mike Fudge netted the only Tire goal in the third.

Re/Max’s Gabe Gaudet led the way against the Big A, Thursday, scoring a natural hat trick as the realtors netted three goals in each period to outclass the A team 9-3. Graham Proulx also had a three-point night with two goals and an assist and now leads the league in scoring with 56 points. Ehman had a hand in every Arlington marker, scoring one and assisting on two others.

The Red Army’s Andrew Jenner counted a hat trick on his way to a five-point game as the Rex pumped nine goals into the Tire for a  9-3 victory.

The Red Army scored four in the first period and five in the second period with Brady Glover having a huge night with a goal and four assists, and Trevor Johnson adding a goal and three assists of his own.

The TCHL action continues tonight with Re/Max going against OK Tire at 7:15 p.m and Firebird. playing the Rex at 8:30 p.m.
