Westside Warriors defenceman Brayden Sherbinin will give the Home of Champions four players at Quinnipiac University next season.
The 17-year-old Sherbinin, who was born in Trail, is the son of Linda and Ron, who lived in the area until a job transfer sent them to the Okanagan in 1997.
Sherbinin, who has many relatives, including his grandmother, still living in the area, accepted the scholarship in February and will join Montrose’s Connor and Kellen Jones as well as Trail’s Travis St. Denis at the Connecticut university next fall.
He played last season with the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League’s Nelson Leafs.
