Rossland Chamber of Commerce will take down its Canadian flag early this year, as the larger-than-life flag is taking a beating from the wind wrapping it around the pole atop of Mount Roberts. A new flag is carried up during a community hike that takes place on Canada Day, with this past trip carried by local Andy Russell.

Icy Morehouse volunteers her time at the Trail Hospital Auxiliary gift shop at the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital. Funds raised at the shop go directly back to the hospital.
