Bingo is back in the Beaver Valley!

Better yet, proceeds from the mid-week games — hosted by the Beaver Valley Lions — are helping stock shelves at the Fruitvale food bank and supporting many other local charities and goodwill causes.

“It is nice to get going again for sure,” Bev Thompson, from the Beaver Valley Lions, shares. “So far we’ve had from 50 to 80 people come to play but of course, the more the merrier and the payout is a percentage of what we sell.”

Lions International named January as the “Month of Hunger.”

“We serve to improve human flourishing,” Lions International says. “We see how the global hunger and nutrition crisis bears upon our local communities, and believe true community improvement depends on the thriving of its members.”
